Abstract

The problem of this research is a definition of the level of isometric muscular potential depending on the angle of ankle. Different conditions of the plantar flexion are defined by means of the angle between the segments of the foot and the shine. A sample of the examinees is drawn from the PE male students, aged 20 (±6 months) who were involved in certain physical activities. Sample of variables is composed of: plantar flexion under the angle of 90, under the angle smaller than 90, and under the angle bigger than 90, as well as the body weight measured by digital scales. It is expected to gain the biggest maximal strength in plantar flexion in the ankle under the angle smaller than 90. It is recommended that the athletes during the training sessions for the development of the strength of the shine muscles (triceps surae) use compulsory support (costructed platform) under the front part of the foot.
