In modern approach to a training process dancing is commonly used as a part
of a training for development of rhythm sense, which is very important in almost any
sport. Dance is also applied as a means of functional relaxation. The sample of 13
male students of The Faculty of Sports and Physical Education aged between 19 and
23 was used to examine the possibilities of training load dosage by the tempi of various
dances Moravac. The physical work capacity was evaluated by Von Döblen’s method for
indirect measuring of maximal oxygen uptake and by Conconi’s method for measuring
the anaerobic threshold. The aim was to make the group homogenous and evaluate the
level of their fi tness. Inten sity results achieved by dances were compared by ANOVA.
Statistically impor tant differences were noticed between the following: the second and
the third tempi of fi rst variation, the fi rst and the third ones and second and third tempi
of second variation and between each of the tempi of third variation. Also statistically
important differences were noticed between the following: the fi rst and the third and
second and third variation at the fi rst tempi, the fi rst and the second and fi rst and the
third variation at the second tempi and the fi rst and the second and the fi rst and the third
variation at the third tempi. dance, physiological load, training load dosage
