TRAINING EFECTIVITY ON MEASURED SPECIFIC MOTOR ABILITIES OF BASKETBALL PLAYERS BOYS AND GIRLS 15 YEARS OF AGE

Research took place in the basketball camp “Kikinda 07”. The sample of basketball
players, consisted of 20 boys and 17 girls 15 years of age, from different Kikindas
basketball clubs. On the inicial (9.VIII 2007) and fi nal (19.VIII 2007) measurement, 8 tests specifi c motor abilities (SMA) were done: Player movement with the ball, Ball
manipulation and Player movement without the ball). The aim of this was to prove
differences in 10 days programming training (15 trainings in all) on SMA boys and
girls basketball players. All of them trained under the same plan and programme, done
by author of this research. The multivariate analysis of covariance (MANOCOVA) and
the discrimination analysis. A signifi cant statistical differences appeared between two
groups (level .00), according to variables (tests): Driving the ball around central circle,
“Kamikaze”, Circling with the ball around a body, “Kamikaze” with driving. According
to univariate analysis of variance a higher relative aprovement was achieved by boys
in tests: Driving the ball around central circle (for SMA measurement movement player
with a ball) and Circling with the ball around a body (SMA ball manipulation), while
girls were more successful in “Kamikaze” (SMA movement of player without a ball). basketball, specifi c motor abilities, differences between boys and girls
basketball players.
