MOUNTAINEERING IN SLOVENIA AND BAVARIA

PLANINSKA DEJAVNOST V SLOVENIJI IN NA BAVARSKEM

Abstract

Slovenia and Bavaria are alike in many ways. The main characteristics are the Alpes, which have affected the colture, sport and economy of both countrys significantly. Both countrys have developet an alpine infrastructure which enables relatively safe aproach on mountain tops and mountain huts. Our research results show that more Slovenians are members of Alpine clubs, that Bavariens more frequently visit the mountains in the winter time and that more Bavarians walk more frequently walk up to 3 hours daly.
