Abstract

Running, with its various forms of performance, is of the most significant means of physical education, through particular biological tasks are achieved. In addition, it implies the impact that these forms have on the body, strengthening the muscles, and improving the functional abilities. A successful performance of putting the shot depends mostly on the morphologic and motor characteristics. The aim of this research is to establish the connection and impact that motor and morphologic characteristics have on the successful putting the shot. The tests were conducted on 80 male students aged 15-16, from the secondary school "Marin Barletty", in Gnilane. There were used 7 tests for assessing motor abilities; 7 morphologic variables ; and one specific test (putting the shot). In order to determine the relations between the predictory (motor and morphologic characteristics) and criteria variables (putting the shot), the regressive analysis was used, in manifest space. The processing was performed with the programme SPSS for Windows 16.0. The established multiple correlation (o.718) explains the common variability of 51,5%, and marks significance on the level of ,000. A certain predicative significance can be assigned to the variables of Medical Ball Throwing (MBMEDC), which marks significance on the level of .000, and 20- meter Running (MTR20M), which is significant on the level of ,011.
