On sample of 613 boys, aged 4-7 years, was used battery of 8 anthropometric
measures and 6 motorical tests. By using univariate and multivariate analysis of
variance followed by t test for independent samples was found significant difference
between boys of different age groups defined by one year. The analysis of the obtained
results in anthropometric variables perceived increase in the values of all observed
variables with age. The results of motorical variables indicate that older subjects were
more successful in performance of given tests in relation to the middle and younger
groups of subjects.
Analyzing Canonical discriminant analyses qualitative differences were found in
groups of subjects of different ages. Highest discriminating value of subjects in area of
motorical variables had fallowing variables: 20m dash, jump forward, taping, sit-ups,
and polygon backwards. It may be noted that the subjects of the third (oldest) group
were more successful in motorical tests. The second (middle) group of subjects was in
the middle compared to the analyzed sample. Also, higher values were observed in the
results of body height in older subjects compared to the other two analyzed groups
respectively. N/A
